Klara Utke Acs is a performance artist working in the expanded fields of dance and choreography. She is active in Stockholm and Copenhagen and holds a bachelor in Dance Performance from Stockholm University of the Arts. The work departs from questions regarding poetics and body politics. It is built on a foundation of creating collective spaces with queer and crip strategies. Together with Chloe Chignell, Louise Pousette and Tamara Alegre, she is a founding member of the open-ended dance and reading circle POSSE hosted at c.off in Stockholm, that has led to collaborations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Italy. Klara’s choreographic work is built on collaboration and inter-mediality in the borderlands of choreography, dramaturgy, sound, film and visual arts. Her pieces have been presented in performing arts-, visual arts- and inter-disciplinary contexts such as Overgaden, Charlottenborg, Space10, Konstnärshuset, Mini Bar and Norberg Festival. She has been working with choreographers Pontus Pettersson, Ellen Söderhult, composers Pan Daijing and Soho Rezanejad, performing in contexts such as at Tate Modern, Berlin Atonal, MDT, Dansehallerne, Blackbox Teater, Konsthall C and Tensta Konsthall.
